Session structure




	Session Structure	FIT FOR LEARNING: a developmental programme of exercises to develop balance and coordination - both of which are inextricably linked to a child's ability to learn. A different nursery rhyme is taught each week involving specific actions. REFRESHMENTS: fresh fruit is offered during Family Group Time. Drinking water is available throughout the session for the children to help themselves to. TIDY-UP TIME: at the end of each session children are encouraged to put away toys and tidy up the area in which they have been playing. This develops a sense of pride in their environment.
	We always welcome parents/carers to spend time at the beginning of each session to settle their child. At the end of the session, you are welcome to help your child finish their activity, tidy away or take a look at what they have been working on that day. During the session children will be involved in specific tasks as appropriate to their needs and stages of development. FAMILY TIME: the children work in a small group with their Family Group Leader. Small group time offers planned opportunities for stories, poems, songs, maths and circle games, as well as building confidence, concentration, speaking and listening skills.
